Laceration Hazard Prompts Yankee Candle Recall

31,000 units affected.

According to The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Yankee Candle has recalled its Luminous Candle Collection. When the candle is lit, the glass jar can crack, posing a laceration hazard. About 31,000 units (in addition, about 300 units in Canada) are part of the recall. The firm has received 16 reports of the glass jar cracking; no injuries have been reported to date.

The candles were sold exclusively at Yankee Candle stores nationwide and online at www.yankeecandle.com from September 2016 through November 2016 for about $35. The candles were manufactured in Poland.
